Spice Isle was a stand alone sim, of which I think I rented half. The settings were simple, as pictured: the ruins of the Temple of the Ancients and an arena for saberfight. Arrival was more science fiction than starworsy and was never used for anything like "hello" and "goodbye." Role-playing activities were rare, aside from visits from old friends for lightsaber training with RCS. The temple ruins themselves were made up of sculpted primitives and felt more improvised than a copy from KOTOR. An artificial "Sith meditation sphere" was located in orbit. This was an alien vessel equipped with the first functioning chat system, similar to today's ChatGPT. Allegedly, the server wasn't supported by the developer for long, which is why conversations with the "virtual advisor" were brief. As i said before, it was never a copy of a video game, and it never will be. It was our world, or, if you will, my own story, without any standards or boundaries. That's true as long as I'm still in this virtual world: there are no limits to the imagination.
